School Break

These holidays have been a very welcome break for me.

Ah, holidays. Days when you can curl up in a plush armchair and read for hour and hours on end. Days when you can stare at the computer screen 24/7. Days when rules and not adhered. Days when there is absolutely no rush.

Ah, holidays. A break the usual hectic, tedious and mundane lifestyle. A little pause from all the rushing of projects and homework.

After these two short weeks, we'll  just go back to being students again. Albeit more refreshed, but still the same tiresome routine. And we have our horrible exam results to contend with. What fun is there in attending school when all the joy and happiness has been sucked out of it? I used to love school, then the teachers made it not welcome anymore.

Now I understand why people cut school!

During these holidays, I have done enough of what I wanted to do. Swimming. Reading. Running. So, I guess I'll just have to toughen up my hide and face school once again.

Not that I want to.
